ROBERT SPRUNG, DISCON Secretary General
Robert is a senior studying Economics, Computer Science, and Chinese language from Greenwich, Connecticut. He has been involved in MUN since high school and joined DIRA during his first semester at Duke. Over time, he served as the Director of the Away Team. Outside of DIRA, he loves to discuss politics, read classical literature, cook with friends, and play hockey. Robert served as DIRA President from 2022-2023. |
MATT MOHN, President
Matt is a senior from Houston, Texas majoring in Public Policy Analysis with a minor in Statistics. Matt has been involved in MUN since middle school and has competed for nine years in a row, three as a member of the DIRA Away Team. Matt previously served as DIRA Vice President, working to coordinate team outreach as well as to help other Secretariat members in a support role. Outside of DIRA, Matt enjoys travel, politics, reading, following current events, and music. |
ELLIE ARMSTRONG, Borderless Editor-in-Chief
Ellie is a sophomore from the northwest suburbs of Chicago studying International Comparative Studies and Psychology with a certificate in Child Policy. After serving as a two-year Editor in Chief of her high school newspaper and previous copy and layout editor for Borderless, she is excited to work alongside Pauline to direct this year’s issues. Outside of DIRA, Ellie loves waiting all day on KVille to cram into Cameron, watching documentaries while painting at the Arts Annex, and treating herself to Bella’s London fogs. |
CHARLIE WARREN, Vice President
Charlie is a junior from Southern California majoring in Public Policy and Political Science with a minor in Russian Language & Culture. As far as Model UN is concerned, Charlie has been involved for the past 6 years, the past 2 with DIRA. Outside of DIRA, Charlie is a fan of watching terrible movies, putting way too much emotional stock in the success of the Duke men’s basketball team, and defending his belief that lunch at Marketplace is one of the best food deals on Duke’s campus. Charlie previously served as a director of DUMUNC. |
VIKTORIA WULFF-ANDERSEN, Treasurer
Viktoria is a junior from Danbury, Connecticut who’s thrilled to serve as this year’s Treasurer. With a modest history in MUN—two years as her high school’s team’s president and one year competing as a member of the DIRA Away Team—she’s excited to take on the unique challenge of coordinating DIRA’s first travel and conference funding. Outside of DIRA, Viktoria is pursuing a major in Political Science, minor in Sociology, and certificate in Policy Journalism and Media Studies. She also enjoys classical literature, watching horror movies, and serving as the NPC of her friends’ lives. Viktoria previously served as DISCON Secretary-General. |
CAITLIN DOUGHERTY, Away Team Director
Caitlin is a junior from Berkeley Heights, New Jersey, studying Computer Science and Political Science. After serving as President of her high school team, she is excited to have the opportunity to share her passion for Model UN with this year's Away Team for a second year. Outside of DIRA, Caitlin enjoys reading, exploring Duke's campus, and trying to win the affection of Mamabean. |
WILL MONAHAN, President
Will is a senior from Panfilovskoye, Kyrgzystan studying Astrophysics and Nuclear Design. Will's past MUN experiences include serving as historian of his high school team as well as winning Best Delegate three years in a row at conferences in Özgön and Kochkor-Ata. In his free time, Will does judo, rides horseback, and plays goat polo. In 2018 and 2019, Will competed in the Tour of Oman road bicycling race. |
BENJI GOLD, DUMUNC Secretary-General
Benji is a junior from Arlington, Virginia who is now serving as DUMUNC Secretary-General. Benji is studying Math and Political Science at Duke. Benji previously served as an Away Team Director, and in his free time he runs a volunteer animal shelter outside of Tucson, Arizona. |
PAULINE JONGLERTHAM, Borderless Editor-in-Chief
Pauline is a sophomore pursuing a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry from Nebraska. She, alongside Ellie, looks forward to leading Borderless as co-Editors in Chief. Her passion for this role derives from her experience and interest in linguistic tutoring practices, writing and publication, and healthcare practices around the world. In her free time, she enjoys baking cakes, walks around campus, and listening to country music. |
